Transit "Employee of the Year" Honored, Safety RecognizedRobert Eash Selected as the 2009 “Employee of the Year" ![]() Transit Operator Bob Eash was named Clallam Transit System’s “Employee of the Year” for 2009 by General Manager Terry Weed during the system’s annual awards ceremony on March 14 in Port Angeles. Weed made his selection from six employees nominated by their coworkers for outstanding performance. CTS employs 67 people to support and provide public transit service throughout Clallam County. Weed said Eash is highly respected by his peers and is considered the “…’Renaissance Man’ of Clallam Transit because he does it all with a very high degree of excellence and with a buoyant personality…”
In announcing the winner, Weed read from the nomination summary which stated that “Bob has earned the respect of all of us at CTS with his integrity and upbeat outlook on life. His dedication to excellence is evident everywhere he goes, as an operator, dispatcher, instructor, and as a union shop steward. Bob is the “Renaissance Man” of CTS, as he does it all and does it to a very high degree of excellence with a solid work ethic and buoyant personality setting an outstanding example for us all. He has a unique ability to view situations objectively and to work towards decisions in an honest and thoughtful manner.”
Other nominees included Administrative Services Manager Sandie Barnhart; Training Supervisor Rosemary Richardson; Administrative and Payroll Assistants Alyeen Carlson and Krista Mitchell; and Clerk/Information Operator Sonya McKibbon. Weed noted all the nominees were outstanding employees.
