In the first complete year of operation (1981), ridership averaged 24,808 riders per month.
In 1996, that figure was 65,574 per month, or a weekday daily average of 2,822.
In 1997, CTS increased fares across the board. This resulted in a significant loss of ridership. Monthly average for 1997 was 54,992, with the weekday daily average 2,385.
Since June of 1998 there has been a gradual increase of ridership again. In 1999 the monthly average ridership was 52,992.

 

In 2000 the monthly average ridership was 52,193.

In 2001 the monthly average ridership was 54,483.

In 2002 the monthly average ridership was 56,938.

In 2003 the monthly average ridership was 57,518.

In 2004 the monthly average ridership was 62,449.

In 2005 the monthly average ridership was 64,779.
