STRATEGIC GOALS FOR THE NEXT THREE-FIVE YEARS - Focus on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of paratransit services:
- Implement the consultant's ADA plan as approved by the Board.
- Request proposals for delivery of paratransit services 2007-2012.
- Evaluate taking paratransit services in-house.
- Figure out how to carry more people. Anticipate and address growing service needs by:
- Initiate and complete the CTS Comprehensive Plan.
- Update the capital asset acquisition and replacement plan for projected service needs.
- Develop targets for the operating reserve to be able to manage through fluctuations in sales tax collections without cutting service levels.
- Expand CTS's marketing approaches and efforts.
- Increase focus on staff development, as individuals and as a group:
- Develop a dynamic future-looking staffing plan which addresses upcoming turnover and expansion of services.
- Make time for more administrative staff cross-training and back-up.
- Expand utilization of the wellness program.
- Provide on-going training for all staff.
- Contribute in other ways to the quality of life in Clallam County:
- Research and adopt energy efficient vehicles and fuel alternatives.
- Foster cooperation, planning, and joint operations with other governmental units.
- Through the Employees' Association, encourage employees to support community efforts (such as United Way, Serenity House angel tree, food bank drives, etc.)

The Clallam Transit System Board appreciates and acknowledges the valuable contribution made by the Employees' Association Board of Directors, who represent all the employees, in developing these values and strategic goals statements on behalf of the Clallam Transit System.
