Employer-Paid Health Insurance

CTS offers 100% employer-paid medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, and life insurance plans. This includes optional (and affordable!) coverage available for qualifying dependents and options to purchase additional coverages. Employees have multiple plan options to select from to make the best choice for themselves and their families.
*Plan that employees will automatically be enrolled in if no selection is made.


Medical Plan Choices

  • Uniform Medical Plan (UMP) Classic* (individual $250 deductible/$2,000 out of pocket max)
  • UMP Select ($750/$3,500)
  • UMP Consumer-Directed Health Plan (CDHP) ($1,650/$4,200)

Dental Plan Choices

  • Uniform Dental Plan* (Individual $50 deductible/$1,750 out of pocket max): Delta Dental of Washington Delta Dental of Washington’s preferred-provider organization (PPO) plan. This plan allows you to choose your dentist from the largest state and nationwide networks.
  • DeltaCare (No deductible or annual out-of-pocket limit): Delta Dental of Washington’s managed-care (HMO) dental plan. This plan requires you to receive care and specialist referrals only from a DeltaCare network dentist. Coverage will not apply if you see an out-of-network dentist.
  • Willamette Dental Plan (No deductible or annual out-of-pocket limit): Willamette Dental Group is a managed-care plan. You must select and receive care from a primary care dental provider in that plan’s network.

Life Insurance

  • Basic Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance: Employees are automatically enrolled at no cost. The basic benefit provides $35,000 life insurance and $5,000 AD&D insurance. 
  • Supplemental Life and AD&D Insurance: Additional coverages available with employee covered premiums.

Long-term Disability (LTD) Insurance

  • Employer-paid LTD insurance: Protects a portion of your salary if you are unable to work due to serious injury or illness. There is no cost for coverage and you do not need evidence of insurability. Minimum benefit is $100 or 10 percent of the LTD benefit before deductible income (whichever is greater). Maximum benefit is $240 per month.
  • Employee-paid LTD insurance: If you are eligible for employer-paid LTD, you will be automatically enrolled in a plan that covers 60 percent of your pre-disability earnings. You do not need evidence of insurability. You pay for this coverage and can reduce it to a lower cost coverage level or decline coverage at anytime. If you decide to enroll or increase coverage later you would need to provide evidence of insurability and  be approved by the insurer.
